The TRUTH About SALVATION

How does a person get to Heaven? Some cults and false religions teach that if the good things you do outweigh the bad, God will let you in. That is absolutely WRONG! It is a damnable heresy (2 Pet.2:1) If you believe this, you are headed for Hell (John 3:16, 18,36; 8:24; 14:6).

There is only ONE Way to Heaven according to the Bible. That is faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ. You could NEVER do enough good deeds in 100 life times to permit you access to Heaven. You could NEVER buy your way to Heaven with all the money in the world. You can NEVER perform enough rituals or sacraments no matter what church you belong to. Faith in Christ is the only way.

The Bible tells us we ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Rom.3:23). Since God allows nothing bad or evil to enter into Heaven (Rev.21:8,27, 22:15), NO sinner is permitted. We must first believe God, and trust and accept what Jesus did for us on the cross. Only then will the Father credit our account with the righteousness of His Son (1 Cor.1:30; Rom.3:22, 25-26). Only our faith can make us right in God’s eyes, just as Abraham’s faith made him right in God’s eyes all those many years ago (Rom. 3:25-26; 4:3,5-6, 9,22; Gal.3:6).

We have no righteousnesses of our own (Isa.64:6), any righteousness we possess has to come through faith in Christ (Phil. 3:9; Rom.5:1-2).

IF you think you can EARN your way to Heaven, IF you think that you can establish your own righteousness, you are SO wrong! IF you could earn your way to Heaven, then our precious Jesus died for nothing!

Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. [KJV] . . . If we could be saved by keeping the law, or doing good, then there was no need for Christ to die.

God is pure and holy. We are vile sinners, actually we are His enemies. God cannot even look at sin. We must be made “right” in His eyes to have fellowship with Him. Only acceptance of Jesus justifies us, gives us access to the Father and makes us His friends (Rom.5:1-10). There is NO other way! Many say that Way is too narrow (Mat.7:13-14). But friend, that Way is wide enough for the whole world IF they choose to walk it!

Many who seek God are confused about what He wants them to do. False teachers give many answers to this question, when in fact, there is just ONE answer! Salvation really is simple. Pleasing God does NOT come from any work we do, but from WHOM we believe. You must believe that Jesus is Who He claims to be. You must, like Peter believe He is the Christ, the Son of the living God (Mat.16:16).

John 6:28-29 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? [29] Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. [KJV] The only “work” that God asks of us, is to BELIEVE Him! ~!!! BELIEF !!!~

Salvation is a Gift (Rom.6:23; Eph.2:8-9)! It is absolutely FREE to “whosoever.

John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (KJV) Jesus has the only KEY to Heaven! IF we believe in Him, we have everlasting life in Heaven. Believe God! (John 5:24; 1 John 5:10-12).

WHY WOULD HE SPARE YOU??

If God spared not the angels that did sin,
But cast them to Hades; all chained within.
Reserved in the darkness; judgment to wait,
Why would He spare you? for His Son you do hate.

If God spared not the old world, way back then,
But brought a flood, where the ungodly had been.
Saved just Noah’s family, out of respect,
Why would He spare you? for His Son you reject.

If God spared not Sodom and Gomorrah,
But turned them to ashes from brimstone and fire.
Made them an example, to not live in sin,
Why would He spare you? for His Son you won’t win.

God won’t spare filthy dreamers of today,
That preach Heaven by some other way.
And the ones that listen, and take it all in,
Won’t be spared either, for it’s all sin!

God made just ONE Way of salvation for man,
We must BELIEVE Him; accept His ONLY plan!
God sent His own Son to take away our sin,
Unless you believe and accept Christ; you can’t win!

God does NOT lie! God CANNOT lie!
If you are wise, you will believe Him!
Your eternal destination depends on it.

How can I Be Saved?

We must be "born again." This simply describes what takes place when a person accepts Jesus Christ as his or her personal Saviour. Basically, one becomes spiritually ‘reborn’ at that point, into the family of God. escaping spiritual death and receiving eternal life.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto himVerily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. [KJV] Jesus' words.

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. [KJV] All believers are baptized by the Holy Spirit into one body of believers, the church. We don’t lose our individual identities, but we have an major oneness in Christ. When a person becomes a Christian, the Holy Spirit takes up residence, the MOMENT he or she is born into God’s family. The Holy Spirit completely fills our innermost beings. As members of God’s family, we may have different interests and gifts, but we have a common goal.

What is God’s Plan of Salvation?

We must admit we are sinners.

Every person is guilty of sin and has fallen short of God’s standard. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; [KJV]

We ALL have a basic instinct to follow our own way instead of God’s way. Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. [KJV]

Breaking one of God’s laws makes us as guilty as someone who has broken all of God’s laws. James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. [KJV] The Law is like a chain, if one link is broken, the whole chain is broken.

NO one can claim innocence before God. Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: [KJV]

We have NO righteousness of our own. It must come from Jesus. Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. [KJV] 1 Cor. 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: [KJV] Because of God's love, He made it possible for us to be "in Christ" Jesus. Because of God's love, He made Christ to be wisdom and righteousness, redeeming us and making us acceptable to Him. We can be pure and holy, and set apart for God ONLY through Jesus! He sacrificed Himself to purchase our freedom.

We must understand the penalty for our sins

The wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. [KJV]

We must confess and repent of our sins.

God promises to forgive our sins when we admit we are wrong and confess our sins. 1 John 1:8-9 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. [9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [KJV]

We must turn from our sin and turn to God. Acts 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. [KJV]

We must believe that Christ is the only way of salvation.

Christ Jesus alone leads you to God. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. [KJV] Jesus' words.

Salvation can be found through NO ONE other than Christ Jesus. Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. [KJV]

Christ’s death demonstrates God’s unconditional love. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. [KJV]

Christ, who never sinned, took the punishment for our sins on the cross of Calvary to make us right and bring us to God. 1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: [KJV]

Belief in Jesus’ death and resurrection is absolutely essential to salvation. Romans 10:8-9 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [KJV]

We must accept and receive Christ into our lives.

We must be "born again." John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. [KJV] Jesus' words.

We are promised salvation by believing in Christ Jesus, God’s Son. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [KJV] Jesus' words.

Christ Jesus is our Gate to salvation. John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. [KJV] Jesus patiently waits for us to invite Him into our lives. Rev. 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. [KJV] Jesus' words.

We can receive salvation only through faith in Christ, not through our good works. We are not responsible for even 1% of our salvation. It is a GIFT! Ephes. 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. [KJV]

The salvation God extends washes away our sins and brings true joy. Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; [KJV]

We have assurance of our salvation.

We become a child of God by receiving His free gift of salvation. John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: [13] Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. [KJV] We are given a "new" life in Christ Jesus. Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. [KJV] We no longer have to fear condemnation. Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [KJV]

God has reserved the priceless gift of eternal life for us, and a "mansion" in Heaven. 1 Peter 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, [4] To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, [KJV] John 14:2-3 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. [KJV] Jesus' words. He does not lie!

Our new life comes only from the living God, not from mortal man. 1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. [KJV]

The Lord personally guards our salvation. John 10:27-28 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: [28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. [KJV] Jesus' words.

Our assurance is based upon faith, not feeling. 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. [KJV] God has placed the Holy Spirit in our hearts as proof that we belong to Him. 2 Cor. 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. [KJV]

We have all the privileges and rights that come from being God’s children. Galatians 4:6-7 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. [7] Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. [KJV]
