Wickedness makes God repent
Genesis 6:5-6 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. (KJV)
This wickedness was non-stop, was multiplied, was continually increasing and multiplying so that the whole Earth was corrupt before God, and was filled with violence (Gen.6:11-12); degeneracy among the lower class, and cruelty and oppression among the higher classes. All their thoughts were evil, every idea, every thought, all were evil, for they were produced by the evil heart of man. There was no good anywhere! The Spirit of God which strove with them was continually was resisted, vile wickedness was in supreme control. There was no time out for good, no moment allowed for serious consideration, no holy purpose, no righteousness anywhere.
Do you SEE what God saw here? I truly believe that IF the people had repented of their sin, there would not have been a Flood! This was a picture of fallen souls! And I believe the world is once again on this fallen path leading to destruction, not by another Flood, but by FIRE!
Dear one, sin is worse today than it was back in Noah’s day, because there are so many more people on the Earth. BEWARE!!! God destroyed the Earth in a Flood once, because of SIN, the next time will be fire! God will tolerate sin just so long, then He shall lower the boom! The next time, instead of a Flood, it shall be Fire.
2 Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. (KJV)
2 Peter 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? (KJV)
https://godcannotlie.org/2_peter_ch3.htm BEWARE!!! God does NOT lie!!!
It grieves Almighty God in His Heart, that the people will not repent of their sin. The evil choices of humans brought death and misery to our world. If they remained faithful to God, their lives would have been so much different. They would be living in a perfect peaceful world with a direct relationship with God and the angels. Sadly, they chose evil and are reaping the sad consequences of their choices.
Although man’s sin fills God’s Heart with great sorrow, on the other hand, it also moves Him to judgement against evil doers because He is just. Jer. 18:10 If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them. (KJV)
To do evil in God’s sight is to do, say or think anything that is wicked, contrary to the law and will of God, and to do so openly and publicly, in an arrogant and daring way. Anyone who does this, does NOT obey His Voice. When the people of Judah did evil in God’s sight, and did not repent of their wickedness, God turned a deaf ear to them, because they despised all His instructions, warnings and reproofs. It was only then that God said: I will repent of the good wherewith I said I would benefit them. In other words, God would withhold the good which he had promised. Since they disobeyed Him, He would NOT bestow the good on them; but the opposite . . . He would correct or punish them as their just reward. God is a sovereign God, He deals with all people in a merciful and unbiased way, so that there is no reason whatsoever to complain of Him or to Him; because He upholds and keeps His power and authority, just like a potter has over the clay (Jer.18:1-9).
When people boldly and firmly continue in their evil paths and insist on rebellion against God, He is left with no other choice but to administer justice, and that justice is ALWAYS fair, honest and right to whosoever! BEWARE!!! He sees and knows everything you and I do! You CANNOT hide from Him!
