What Does GOD Have to Say?
Hell, Chapter 9
Some people will not accept the fact that Hell does exist! My friend, it is there; it does exist!
Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Hell does exist! God says so! He created it . . . for the devil and his angels . . . and for all who insist on following him (the devil’s children). YOU are a ‘child of the devil’ if you do not know Jesus as your Saviour and Lord. In reality, there are only two families according to God: His children, who become so by faith in Christ Jesus (Jn.1:12-13; Ep.2:8-9); and the devil’s children (all who reject Christ Jesus and what He accomplished on the Cross for us).
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Those who believe on Him (Jesus) are God’s children! Those who refuse to believe on Him (Jesus) are the devil’s children, and are already condemned (to Hell).
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
If we believe on God’s Son (Jesus), we HAVE eternal life in Heaven! ALL those who reject Jesus and refuse to believe on Himshall NEVER see Heaven. They will spend eternity in Hell! Am I being mean and ugly and hateful to write these words? NO! I am writing them in love, and in hopes that someone might read them and STOP rejecting Jesus; and believe on Him, and go to Heaven!
John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
Jesus says that if you do not believe that He is the Christ (Messiah), the Saviour of the world, you shall die in your sins, because He is the only One who can rescue you from your sins.
1 John 5:10-12 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
If we believe on God’s Son, we have THE Witness in us (the Holy Spirit of God). But, if we do NOT believe on the Son of God, we are actually calling Almighty God a “liar” because we refuse to believe what He has said about His beloved Son, Jesus. God plainly states that God has given us eternal life (salvation of our souls), and this “Life” is in, and through His Son, Jesus! If you have Jesus, you have eternal life in Heaven; if you do not have Jesus, you have eternal death in Hell.
SO, WHAT WILL HELL BE LIKE?
I think Jesus taught more on Hell than any other subject. WHY??? Simply because He loves you very much, and He does NOT want you to go there. He warns us over and over again of the agony and torments of Hell. But we have the privilege of free will. We can accept Him, and go to Heaven with Him, where He lives in splendor and bliss; or reject Him and go to the agony of the Lake of Fire.
Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Jesus says that you can enter God's Kingdom ONLY through the narrow gate. Jesus says that the gate, and the road that lead to Hell is very wide, and that there are MANY on that road! The ‘gate’ that leads to eternal life is “strait” and “narrow”. Strait means strict, rigid,difficult. WHY is the gate so difficult for the vast majority of people (ofany time period) to enter? Because they will have to give up something to follow Jesus! That ‘something’ could be friends, habits, a well-paying job (if it is wrong in God’s eyes), your way of feeling toward people, possessions, money, evil pleasures, vices, perhaps even family in some instances, and other things I have not mentioned. I don’t know what your ‘something’ might be; but following Jesus will lead you on a different path than that which you were on. You will have to give up any and all evil, wicked things, and stay away from those who would try to change your mind.
There is something I have noticed about these ‘roads’. They are both like funnels. People that go onto the broad road, rejecting and turning away from Jesus, enter the broad part of the funnel.But the longer they stay on that road, the narrower that road becomes, and the harder it is to make a retreat.
Whereas those who accept Jesus as their Saviour and Lord,enter in at the strait gate, the narrow end of the funnel, and it seemsthe road in front of them just keeps gettingwider and easier, because He is there with His awesome power and comfort to aid us when we stumble.
Matthew 22:13-14 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
Unless we are properly clothed (with the righteousness of Jesus), we shall be condemned to Hell. Hell here is called “outer darkness” and it also tells us there shall be “weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
You shall NOT be chosen to enter Heaven unless you have accepted Jesus.
Matthew 13:42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Hell here is described as a “furnace of fire” where there shall be “wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
Matthew 13:50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Jesus repeats the same! It must be important!
Matthew 18:8 Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.
What Jesus means is to remove any and all stumbling blocks that keep you from Him.
Hell isdefined in this verse as “everlasting fire”. The fire NEVER stops!
Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire
Matthew 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Without Jesus, God considers you unrighteous, and your destiny shall be Hell. Hell is described by Jesushere as “everlasting punishment.” God is very serious about anyone who rejects His Son!
Luke 16:22-26 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
The poor, lonely beggar died and was carried by the angels to be with Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried, but his soul went to the holding place of the wicked dead. There, in torment, he saw Lazarus in the far distance with Abraham. Already, he was suffering and this was not even Hell! The rich man cried out, Father Abraham, have pity on me! Send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in torment.
I believe that the “place of the dead” is Hades, or the holding place for ALL those without Jesus.
Eccles. 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
When we die (physically) our body returns to the earth from which we came . . . but our soul (our spirit which is eternal) returns “unto God who gave it.” If you have received Christ, which places you into God’s family, God welcomes you with open arms into Heaven (Paradise, Abraham’s Bosom). BUT . . . if you have refused to believe God, and rejected Jesus, He most certainly will NOT permit your soul entrance to Heaven. He will instead send your soul to Hades to await your future judgment at the Great White Throne.
As you can see in the above verses in Luke, spoken by Jesus, the torment and anguish starts immediately, and this is not even Hell!The rich man’s thirst is absolutely agonizing, and there is no water there! The heat is unbearable! There is no way out! Nor can anyone come to soothe you, ever!
2 Thes. 1:8-9 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from he presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
God is a God of love, . . . absolutely! BUT, God is also a God of wrath, and vengeance also. God has TWO sides!ANYONE who does not know God or obey the Gospel of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ shall be punished with “everlasting destruction”(Hell), and be eternally separated from God and all His goodness and glory.
Rev. 20:14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Born once; die twice. Born twice; die once.
Rev. 21:8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Hell is pictured here as a “lake of fire and brimstone”. It is also called the “second death” again.
The Bible is so very clear on what it has to say about Hell. THERE ABSOLUTELY IS A HELL!
Do NOTlisten to any false teacher that tries to tell you that there is no Hell. They are WRONG! Please believe me, believe GOD! There really is a Hell, waiting for ALL who refuse to believe God and accept His Son to save them.
