What Does GOD Have to Say?
Fear, Chapter 6

Feeling of anxiety and/or agitationcaused by the presence of danger, evil or pain.
Uneasiness; disquiet; dread; fright; terror; panic; alarm; apprehension.
In respect to GOD: respectful dread; to feel reverence or awe for. To know and admit
who He is, and realize just how awesome is His Almighty power.

Deut. 10:12And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
God’s rules to Israel (and us today) are quite simple. #1. Listen to what God has to say.
#2. Obey His commandments. I do not believe that the ‘true church’ (the body of Christ), is under the Ten Commandments (Mosiac Law). I realize there are those who will violently oppose this. That is their right. I believe we (today) are under Jesus commandments:
Matthew 22:36-40  Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Jesus says that IF we love God with everything in us and love each other as our self; we are
fulfilling all the law and the prophets (the whole Old Testament). In other words, our commandment is to LOVE, with love like our God. #3. Love, honor, respect, revere and worship God.

Eccles. 12:13Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
If we are to be God’s friend, and His child, and receive blessings from His abundant storehouse,
we must have one purpose in life: knowing and believing God, reverencing Him, and obeying His commandments. And as I have stated above, I believe these are Matthew 22:37-38.

Luke 1:50And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.
God does NOT change, so His mercy is there for all who will receive it. The same mercy He showed to Adam and Eve, He shows to us, and will show to our children and their children. There IS but one stipulation: that we love, honor, reverence and worship (fear) Him.

Acts 10:35But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
God created ALL peoples. He expects ALL people to FEAR Him (reverence, honor, worship).
HOW DO WE “WORK RIGHTEOUSNESS”? God very plainly tells those who want to know!
John 6:28-29Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
If we “fear” God, and “work the works of God” (righteousness), by believing in Jesus, we, no matter who you are, or where you are from, or what you have done, are accepted by God!

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
If you do not “fear” God; if you do not want to learn more about Him from His Word (wisdom), and if you hate His instruction and guidance; God says you are a “fool”! HIS WORDS, not mine!

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
When you “fear” the Lord, you will hate all the things He hates.

Deut. 7:21Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the Lord thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible.
God is a mighty and terrible God to ALL His enemies, and yours.

1 Chron. 16:25-26For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 26For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.
Only Almighty God is to be praised and greatly feared. ALL other gods are worthless!
Only Our Great and Mighty God created the Heavens and everything else.

Hebrews 13:5-6Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6  So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
If you are God’s child, you need not fear what this life sends our way. We should be content with what God has given us; and most of all, remember, He has promised to be with us always!
This fact should give us great comfort in our daily lives (conversation). Too, we should not fear what man can do to us. Yes, man can hurt us, afflict much pain on us; but only physically. He
can never touch our soul. But, another thing to remember, God will allow only what we can bear.
1 Cor. 10:13There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
I truly believe this applies not only to temptations, but to pain, oppression, sorrow, etc.
I believe when God shuts a door, look around, for He has opened a window somewhere!
He won’t always take your difficulties away; but God will always make them easier to bear.

Jeremiah 15:20And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the Lord.
The prophet Jeremiah had fear and suffered much in serving God. The people persecuted him, and Jeremiah probably felt sorry for himself, and felt God had deserted him. But here God is simply telling him to ‘Hang in there.’ They’ll fight against you, but not win, for I am with you, and will save you.
