What Does GOD Have to Say?
Prejudice, Discrimination, Chapter 11
Prejudice is forming an opinion before facts are known; unreasonable bias;
Discriminatemeans division; to distinguish; to recognize as being different;
to make distinctions in treatment; to show partiality.
What I think on this subject, is that it is all based on hatred, withouteven knowing the person or group of persons. God made ALL peoples, and He loves ALL peoples! We must not hate anyone just because they are not the same color as we are; have not the same cultural upbringing as we had; a different nationality than ours, etc. We should not call anyone vulgar,
hateful names: Dago, Spic, Honkey, Nigger, Whitey, etc. It does not do you one bit of good, and it just hurts and angers others, causing conflict, tensions and violence. It is wrong! God hates it!
Leviticus 19:15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
There should be NO respect of persons with us! Preferring one person above another is sin.
Twisting justice in legal matters by being partial to the rich and powerful is sin. God wants us to always judge people fairly.
Deuteronomy 1:17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.
There should be NO respect of persons with us! There should be no partiality in your decisions. We should judge everyone on the same basis, no matter who they are.
Deuteronomy 16:19 Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.
There should be NO respect of persons with us! Preferring one person above another is sin.
Do not be unjust or show partiality in judgments. Do NOT accept bribes, for bribes blind the eyes even of wise and honest men, and cause them to do wrong.
Proverbs 24:21-23 My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change: 22 For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both? 23 These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.
We should always ‘fear God’ and we should NOT associate with radicals; for their end shall become ours. We should not pass judgment on others, whether they be rich or poor, red, yellow, black or white. We should not treat a rich man better than a poor man, nor favor one race above another.
Proverbs 24:23 These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.
There should be NO respect of persons with us! Preferring one person above another is sin. It is wrong to prefer one over another.
Proverbs 28:21 To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress.
There should be NO respect of persons with us! Preferring one person above another is sin. We should NOT give preferred treatment to rich people, for that is like selling one’s soul for a piece of bread.
Acts 10:34-35 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
God had told Peter (a Jew), to take the Gospel to a Roman, a Gentile.God made it perfectly clear that the ‘Good News of Christ’ was for everybody, regardless of race, color, language, culture, where they live, economic class, education, etc. We should keep this in consideration as we live our daily lives, not have name calling, hate, constant tensions, violence, etc. that goes on today. Preferring one person above another is sin. It is sin to prefer one over another.
Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
There is not a God for the Jews, and another for the Gentiles. There is ONE God, for ALL peoples.
1 Tim. 5:21 I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.
We should not prefer one person over another, nor be partial in our treatment of others, nor hate and ridicule others because they are different than we are.
James 2:1-4 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. 2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; 3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: 4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts? There should be NO respect of persons with us!
Preferring one person above another is sin. Preferring one person above another is sin. You must never treat people differently according to their OUTWARD appearance. Discrimination shows that judgments are guided by evil motives.
James 2:9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
There should be NO respect of persons with us! Preferring one person above another is sin.
Treating people according to their outward appearance, makes you guilty of sin, and God condemns sins.
James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
There should be NO respect of persons with us! Preferring one person above another is sin.
Wisdom from God is pure, peace loving, gentle at all times, and always willing to yield to others, just like Jesus. It is full of mercy and good deeds, never showing favoritism to anyone and is always sincere.
