WOULD A LOVING GOD

SEND PEOPLE TO HELL??

(1) God gives ALL people enough "light" to know He exists.

Romans 1:19-20 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. [20] For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (KJV)

Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. (KJV)

God reveals Himself through nature. Just look around. If you can’t "see" God, you are in big trouble! We learn about His power and our weakness. We learn about His holiness and our sinfulness. We learn about His gracious forgiveness and our salvation. We are surrounded by wonderful displays of God’s workmanship which give dramatic evidence of His existence, His power, His love, His care. To say that the universe happened by chance is stupid!

(2) People still choose NOT to know Him.

Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. (KJV)

Psalm 53:2-3 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. [3] Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. (KJV)

Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. (KJV)

Romans 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (KJV)

2 Tim. 3:1-4 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. [2] For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, [3] Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, [4] Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; (KJV) To speak in direct defiance of God is utterly foolish. Why is it that people are so evil?

Millions of people have no fear whatsoever of the One and Only True God of the Bible, the Creator of this Universe. Many CLAIM to know God, yet in works, they deny Him. If we can see all that Jesus did and still reject Him, our sin is much greater than that of the ancient Israelites who could not see what we have seen. Have you given your life to Jesus Christ, the "good shepherd" (John 10:11-16), or are you still a wandering sheep?

People choose to reject God, and God allows them to do it. God will not stop us from making choices that are against His will. He lets us make our own choices. People love to gratify their own lusts, more than to please God. God is to be loved above all; but a carnal mind, full of enmity against Him, prefers any thing before Him, especially carnal pleasure.

(3) SO . . . God reluctantly gives people what they want.

God wants NO ONE to go to the Lake of Fire, the place of everlasting punishment. He would like for all to be saved. 1 Tim. 2:3-4 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; [4] Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. [KJV] God wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.

He would like for all to repent and come to Him. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. [KJV] God is very loving and extremely patient with people. He does not want anyone to perish, so He gives people more time to repent. Yet most never do.

God will NEVER force Himself on anyone. He allows people to reject Him and His Son, even if it hurts Him. God is love, but He allows people to reject His love. 1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. [KJV]

There will one day be a Judgment for ALL people, when they stand before God’s awesome Throne. Rev. 20:11-13 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. [12] And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. [13] And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. [KJV]

Anyone whose name is not written in the "book of life" will be thrown into the Lake of fire. Rev. 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. [KJV] Do you actually think it will be God's fault that you rejected Jesus and do not have your name in the Book of Life? It will NOT be God’s fault! It was you who chose not to accept Jesus as your Saviour and Lord. It was YOUR decision! And when anyone makes this decision they are automatically condemned to Hell! John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [KJV] Jesus' Words.

IF God would not condemn to Hell someone who rejected His Son, He would be a "Liar" (see 1 John 5:10-12). And the Bible clearly tells us God NEVER lies (see Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18). God NEVER did lie, and He NEVER will! (See James 1:17; Hebrews 13:8; Malachi 3:6).

God warned Israel. Deut. 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: (KJV) That same choice is before us today. We can choose God’s blessing or His curse. We can choose God’s love or His wrath.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (KJV) John's words. May I ask, what choice have you made?

So many people say, "A loving God would never send me to Hell." God is love . . . yes! But IF God loves, then He also hates! He HATES sin! And to God the worst sin is not believing Him, and rejecting His Son (John 9:31).

Please believe God! Don’t call Him a "liar."

1 John 5:10-12 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. [11] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (KJV)

Even though we don’t fully understand God and His ways, He does give us the freedom to make our own choices. We can either be under God’s grace or we can be under His wrath and judgment . . . it’s our choice! Jesus clearly tells us this. John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. (KJV) Jesus' Words. But, He welcomes everyone when we turn to Him for forgiveness . . . now . . . while we live! There are NO second chances after you die! We do not have to be condemned to Hell, we can turn to Jesus for complete forgiveness and be reconciled to Him and the Father (Rom. 5:1-10). John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (KJV) Jesus' Words.
